Yellow Creek 2/12/2011

Yellow Creek State Park 2/12/2011

It was a cold one, but we all bundled up in our snow clothes and checked out the park. We live "just down the road" from Yellow Creek, which is in Indiana County. The kids had a great time playing in the snow, making snow angels and just generally running around.

The park rangers happened to be finishing up an ice fishing lesson as we arrived, so after they had left, the kids and Jeff ventured out on the frozen lake to check out the holes in the ice. They thought that was pretty cool!

Here are some other pictures from the day. It was a cold one, but it was sunny and beautiful out.

Overall, a great trip to Yellow Creek. What luck that the kids got to check out the ice fishing holes - definitely unexpected. Hopefully the weather will soon warm up a bit and we can get out to more parks sooner than later!! The kids seem to be really enjoying our "adventures".
